Welcome To Bella Medical Spa

Pre Care:

  • Hydrate at least 3 days before your injections. Cut down on salty foods.
  • If you get cold sores, text our office a week before your appointment for a prescription. Include your date of birth, pharmacy phone number, and any allergies.
  • Avoid caffeine before your appointment to reduce bleeding, bruising, and pain.
  • Schedule injections 3-4 weeks before any important events.
  • Don’t drink alcohol 24 hours before. You can bring coffee to drink after your appointment.

Post Care:

  • Call 911 if you have trouble breathing, swallowing, speaking, or any life-threatening symptoms.
  • Report severe swelling, itching, redness, pain, or discharge to your aesthetic injector with pictures via office phone (not social media).
  • Swelling, redness, firmness, itching, and tenderness can last up to 2-3 weeks. Use cool packs for the first two weeks. Consult NP Karla if you notice bumps after 3 weeks.
  • Results are immediate, but best effects show after swelling goes down in 3-6 weeks. Touch-ups help maintain results. Initial swelling and bruising can take up to 2 weeks to subside. Wait 4-6 weeks before adding more filler.
  • Lumps, bumps, or irregular areas are normal and should go away in 3-6 weeks.
  • Stay hydrated for 3 weeks to avoid filler hardening. If you see bumps at 3 weeks, schedule a follow-up within 6 weeks.
  • For best results: Sleep off your lips, avoid straws, smoking, nail-biting, and sucking on banana-looking objects for 3 weeks.

  • Avoid pets near the area for 48 hours, no raw foods for 8 hours, and no cosmetics for 12 hours.
  • Do not drink alcohol or smoke for 24 hours to ensure proper healing.
  • No flying, scuba diving, or snorkeling within 24 hours of filler due to pressure changes.
  • No heavy exercise or activities that raise your body temperature for 48 hours.
  • No facials, peels, or massages for 1-2 weeks; wait 4 weeks for microneedling and laser.
  • Use Motrin, Advil, or Tylenol for discomfort; Benadryl for itching (can cause drowsiness).
  • Avoid direct sunlight and extreme cold until swelling/redness subsides.
  • Arnica Montana may help with bruising.
  • Use a clean mask after injections, clean your phone with an alcohol pad, and use a clean pillowcase.
